Sports Social Stories

A Social Story is a tool for teaching social skills. It provides a written example (often supported by pictures) of what a person can expect to happen in a social situation, and what he or she will need to do in that situation. Social stories are usually customized for each person they are written for, but existing stories can be used and modified to a specific person or situation. Polyxo.com, a terrific resource created by Jason Wallin, also has some examples of social stories for participation in two sports, Basketball and Soccer.
