New Resources on Positively Autism

This month’s free downloads are examples of spelling worksheets created based on the principles of programmed instruction. These worksheets allow the student to view the word to be spelled, then spell the word by filling in one missing letter. The number of missing letters is gradually increased until the student spells the complete word. When I use these worksheets, I also have the student write the word on the back of the paper, to make sure that it is spelled correctly without the prompts.

I usually use these worksheets with words that my students have missed on their spelling tests. I have found these worksheets to be easily used by my students with autism, and to be helpful in learning and retaining spelling words.
