"I firmly believe that the only disability in life is a bad attitude." - Scott Hamilton

Buddy is a 3-year-old Golden Retreiver. Buddy loves to meet new people (and dogs), to go on walks, and play fetch in the backyard.

He was found as a stray puppy when he was about four months old, and shortly after, began displaying the symptoms of the often fatal disease of Parvo. He spent almost a week in an animal hospital, and it didn't look like he was going to make it. However, he fought through it and returned home as happy as ever!

Less than two months later, Buddy began limping. The limping gradually became more pronounced and Buddy gradually lost much of the functional use of his back legs.

But Buddy is a fighter. He has learned to make adaptations in his movements to get around the house, and sometimes walks (although it is a little bit shaky). Buddy has a custom-built "wheelchair" and uses it to outrun us on walks to the lake! He is one of the friendliest and happiest dogs we have ever seen, and he is our inspiration!
